Competitions

There are several major competitive events during the year, these include:

>TUFF TRUCK CHALLENGE< – held at Milbrodale south of Singleton in March every year, draws from 5000-10,000 spectators. Forty of the toughest 4WD vehicles each year fight it out for the Off –Road Images Trophy. The three day event has nine stages, which includes one static and eight driving sections.

NISSAN TRIALS – held at Colo Heights annually in November, drawing over 100 competitors and 2000 spectators. This is an inter-club competition hosted each year by the Nissan Patrol Club of NSW & ACT, one of the ultimate tests of vehicle ability and driver skill due to the challenging courses, including mud driving, all terrain courses and traversing over logs.

WILLOWGLEN 4X4 CHALLENGE – takes place annually in October at Willowglen which is located near Tarago south of Goulburn. This involves teams from various registered 4WD Clubs from NSW & ACT.

NSW/ACT 4WD CLUB JAMBOREE –caters for all types of vehicles from standard to modified and is a social event as it is a gathering for all members of a 4WD club in NSW or ACT including hill climbs, all terrain tracks, mud driving and games. The jamboree occurs biannually and the location of the Jamboree differs for each meet. The last Jamboree was held over the Easter weekend 2007 at the Woodpecker site.

>>TOPERI CHALLENGE<< – held just out of Orange, the first event being November 2008 as a replacement for The Woodpecker Challenge which ended in 2007. 64 competitors in teams of two and over 1000 spectators were involved.

>CESSNOCK MUD DRAGS< – takes place at Cessnock annually in October for modified or open classes. A day of fun, dragging in the mud.
